Jaime’s bio (written in the 3rd person by Jaime)
Jaime Sugiyama (He/Him) is a Canadian writer born/raised/living in Toronto. His essays have been published in the Globe and Mail and the Malahat Review. He writes about issues of identity, memory, sport, culture, food, and other loose items stacked at random. He is magnanimous with praise, and thin-skinned with criticism. He’s an avid walker, an obsessive baseball fan, a great skater yet mediocre hockey player, and a decent-to-pretty-good son/grandson/friend. He has an Honours Degree in English and History of Science from King’s College which he has used to amuse people in earshot while drinking beer.
He also works as a copywriter and if you have come looking for a portfolio, you can find it on the nav.
